'Tis the Season For Tumble-Chis

tum-ble-chi (tum'bel-kie)

n.

Various tufts of white fur that break off from a white pomchi named Chi and waft upon the household draughts.

We are approaching peak tumble-chi season. As it gets hotter, drifts of tumble-chis gather in corners and around the bases of furniture. Walk down the hall and fine wisps of fur part before you. Vacuuming seems pointless. All it takes is one little dog to stretch and shake himself out of sleep or joyfully roll on the floor, and another fine layer is added.

Chi is very generous with his fur. He's always willing to share it. In this season drying him afer a bath results in cotton-balls of fur collecting on the towel. Give him a cuddle and you'll have a coat just like his, which looks particularly good if you are wearing black. We must be currently collecting at least half a Chi in fur a week!

“'Tis the season for tumble-chis,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Endless days and summer skies,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Shedding furs with lots of cheer,
Fa la la la la la la la la.
Just for Christmas and New Year,
Fa la la la la la la la la.”

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone and a great New Year. May your days be full of cheer and tumble-chi free.
