Have you ever thought about the stories behind your Christmas decorations? Few of our decorations are purchased so maybe that's why each decoration hanging on our tree seems to have a story attached.

Cowra Snapshots
There is something about cherry blossoms that have always intrigued me. I'm not sure whether it is the fragility of the blossoms, the sense of fleeting beauty, or the wonder invoked by the oriental poets.

Melbourne Snapshots
It's hard to believe that our trip to Melbourne was two months ago! It didn't take us long to fall back into the routine of work, eat, sleep.

A Fortunate Time
Last Friday's cookie fortune said something about finding out how fortunate we were. Considering what had happened a couple of days before I discarded it thinking it was un-blogworthy. Yet, in hindsight (and isn't that always the case), we were fortunate.

Lost!
This feels weird. I'm at a loss for things to do.
Hubby and I are in Melbourne for the International Comedy Festival.
Yesterday I spent the first hour of my holidays in the Melbourne office, delivering a laptop back to the client and saying “Hi!”, “Bye!” to Melbourne team mates because our project is ending. Tony and I then spent the rest of the day reacquainting ourselves with the city and visiting the newer areas of Docklands and South Wharf.
Today, other than a show tonight, we have nothing planned.
There are no tests I need to run, no defects to fix, no reports to submit that were due “yesterday”, no questions or requests for information.
We are staying in a serviced apartment so there are no tradesmen I need to call, no washing or cleaning to be done, no garden overgrown with weeds.
Having lived in Melbourne for 18 months and visited many times over the past 20 years, we have seen most of the major sights. Besides we have no car and have yet to purchase a myki pass so we are limited to locations within walking distance.
For the first time in a long time I have no commitments or demands for my time—nothing!
What am I going to do?!

Mistaken Identity
About three weeks ago Tony caught a cab then swung by my office to pick me up.
While waiting I checked our FaceBook news and then mentioned to him that our nephew, J, had posted a picture of Kai skateboarding.
