It's only Tony, Quila and me.
We bid farewell to ‘Our Boy’ yesterday (Friday).
One of the most difficult tasks (and privileges) of being a pet owner is deciding when to let go. And for us, that time is rapidly approaching.
When I started my first job out of Uni I never imagined I would still be working at the same company 25 years later. Even on the first day I had a mini-breakdown. During one of the breaks in our orientation you would have found me in the ladies on the verge of tears, doubting whether I fitted the ‘company mould’, wondering whether I belonged. I (obviously) remained and in January I was inducted into the club for employees who had attained 25 years of service.
Can you believe it's been over a year since Tony had leave? While I've been to Townsville and Cowra, Hubby has been home with the fur kids. So, at the end of March we headed up to Brisbane.
(I wrote this a week ago, and even now I'm in two minds about whether to publish it. But, here goes ...)
Chi's been unusually companion-seeking today, coming firstly to Debs (of course) and then to me seeking a pat, a word of encouragement, a lap - who knows what - but seeking comfort nonetheless.
At the beginning of the month, I decided to post a photo for each day in January.
... or more likely eight-to-six. Does anyone work nine to five any more?
I'm returning to work tomorrow after almost seven months' leave. It's definitely going to be a shock to the system.
Happy New Year everyone!
Inspired by a friend who vlogged each day in December, I thought I would try to post a photo a day in January.
